FAQ

What are the benefits of being a private pay client?

We understand the cost of therapy is a significant consideration, so here at GTS, your privacy is paramount. Insurance companies often require you to receive an immediate diagnosis, have access to your treatment documentation, and can dictate the type of care you receive. As a private pay client, you can take control of your healing without external limitations and have your privacy respected as sensitive topics are discussed. Upon request, GTS will gladly offer a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

What are your rates?

Individual and family therapy are $180.00 per session for 45-50 minutes. Group therapy provides a more cost efficient option at $75.00 per session for 90 minutes. Mental Health Assessments are $275.00 per hour, Comprehensive Psychosexual Evaluations are $350.00 per hour, and court and consultation services are $525.00 per hour. To ensure our services are accessible, we reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots based on financial need for therapeutic services. Please ask about availability.

How long does therapy last?

There are no fixed number of sessions; however, GTS firmly believes that therapy should not last forever. Our goals are to help you understand the dynamics surrounding past trauma and/or problematic sexual behaviors, identify risk factors, and equip you with practical tools you can utilize outside of sessions. Therapy at GTS is collaborative, so both the clinician and the client are active participants in the process.

What do Comprehensive Psychosexual Evaluation include?

A CPE involves a structured clinical interview, psychological testing, record review, collateral contacts, and a thorough risk assessment. The interview, spanning four hours over two sessions, covers personal background, family history, education, employment, medical history, mental health, intimate relationships, sexual history, and the allegations prompting the assessment. Clients receive a written evaluation, with treatment reccomendations, within 45 days of the initial clinical interview. A CPE typically requires 15-25 hours of work in total.

What do Mental Health Assessments include?

Mental health assessments involve a comprehensive process that includes a structured clinical interview, psychological questionnaires, and gathering information from collateral contacts. The two-hour interview delves into the client’s personal background, family history, educational journey, employment experiences, medical history, and both current and past mental health symptoms. Following the interview, clients can expect to receive a written evaluation within 30 days. In total, a mental health assessment typically requires 8-10 hours of dedicated work.

What issues and behaviors does GTS treat?

At GTS, we provide a broad spectrum of services designed to support individuals, teens, organizations, and families. Our expertise includes assisting those who have experienced sexually traumatic events, as well as addressing compulsive or addictive sexual behaviors (such as pornography use or masturbation), sexually inappropriate behaviors between siblings, and hypersexuality. We aim to cultivate an empathetic environment, free from shame or guilt, to facilitate healing and personal growth.

What therapeutic modalities do you use?

At GTS, we prioritize evidence-based trauma-informed care and use aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Additionally, we use the Risk-Needs-Responsitivity model for court-involved clients to reduce recidivism and promote rehabilitation.

Is GTS a Christian organization?

While our Founder is a Christian, we are not a religious organization; however, our core values (compassion, empowerment, accountability, healing, and self-discovery) are informed by biblical principles. Our focus is to offer a safe and supportive space for everyone regardless of their background. Our approach is client-centered and inclusive, ensuring that all individuals receive the highest quality of professional care.

What is your cancellation policy?

A 72-hour notice is required for session cancellations. Cancellations made less than 72 hours in advance will incur a fee of 60% of the total service cost. No-shows or same-day cancellations will be charged the full rate. We understand that emergencies occur, so please discuss any circumstances with your clinician that may warrant waiving the no-show/cancellation fee.

Does GTS offer faith-based services?

Yes! Upon request, faith-informed aspects can be integrated into your sessions that align with Christian beliefs and principles.

Does GTS offer in-person services?

At present, all services are offered virtually via HIPAA-compliant software, allowing you to comfortably engage from the privacy of your home. GTS plans to introduce in-person services in 2026.
